ICAI's Board of Studies released the full MTP schedule on 10 August. Twelve free full-length papers across two series, all of them 2 PM to 5 PM, physical or virtual — and the last one lands almost exactly four weeks before you sit the real thing.
The Board of Studies (Academic) announced the CA Final November 2026 Mock Test Paper schedule on 10 August 2026. Two complete series, six papers each, covering the entire Final course.

Papers run in syllabus order, with a gap of one to three days between each. Every paper is scheduled 2 PM to 5 PM.

The same six papers, a fortnight later. Series II is the one that matters most for timing practice, because by late September you should be revising rather than learning.

Every report of the MTP announcement lists the same window — 2 PM to 5 PM — for all six papers in both series. But Paper 6, Integrated Business Solutions, is not a three-hour paper in the actual examination. It is ICAI's only open-book paper and it runs four hours, with five case studies of 25 marks each of which you attempt any four, assessed 60% descriptive and 40% MCQ.
We could not confirm from the announcement itself whether the Paper 6 mock is meant to be attempted in three hours or in the full four. Before 21 September, read the official BoS announcement or ask your branch — and if in doubt, give yourself the full four hours. Practising a four-hour open-book paper in three teaches you the wrong pacing, and pacing is most of what Paper 6 tests.

Virtual mode goes through the BoS MTP Registration Portal. Your login is tied to the email address held in your SSP record, so if that address is stale, fix it in SSP first or the OTP will never arrive.
For physical mode you don't use the portal at all — approach your regional ICAI branch or regional office, since not every branch runs every paper.
Question papers are published on the BoS Knowledge Portal, the BoS MTP Registration Portal and the ICAI BoS mobile app, on the scheduled date for each subject.
On the exact upload time, reports of the announcement do not agree: most say the paper goes live by 1:30 PM, shortly before the 2 PM start, while at least one outlet reported 9:30 AM. We have not been able to reconcile the two, so treat the official BoS announcement as the authority and check the portal from the morning of your paper rather than assuming either time.
The answer key for each paper is uploaded within 48 hours of that mock test starting. That 48-hour gap is deliberate and it's worth respecting — the value of a mock comes from sitting it cold, under timer, and only then comparing.
The mock itself is the easy half. The hard half is marking it. ICAI gives you an answer key, not a marked script — and on a CA Final descriptive answer, the gap between "I knew this" and "I would have been given the marks" is exactly where attempts are lost. Presentation, the working notes you skipped, the section or standard you applied correctly but never cited: none of that shows up when you read a model answer and nod.
A practical way to use the two series: treat Series I as diagnostic. Sit it honestly, mark it harshly against the key, and write down the specific reasons you lost marks rather than the topics. Then fix those between 21 and 23 September, and use Series II to confirm the fixes held under time pressure. Series II ends on 5 October; Group I of the actual examination begins 2 November, which leaves roughly four weeks — enough to close real gaps, but only if you have identified them by early October.
