If you spotted a wrong option, an ambiguous question, or a printing error in your Foundation or Intermediate paper this session, ICAI wants to hear about it — but only if you tell them before 17 September 2026, in writing, with your registration details attached.
On 1 September 2026, ICAI's Examination Department opened a window for candidates to flag issues with the CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2026 question papers. Here's everything in that notice, in one place.

ICAI's notice is short and doesn't spell out categories, but it's addressed at genuine problems with the question paper itself — not with how you personally answered it. In past sessions, the kind of thing this route has been used for includes:

ICAI gives you two channels, and both need to reach the Examination Department by 17 September 2026:
Whichever channel you use, ICAI is explicit that it will only take an observation into consideration if it carries your Name, Registration number, Roll number, Email ID and Mobile number. Leave one out and the notice implies it won't be looked at, so treat those five details as non-negotiable.
The best time to write yours is right after you walk out of the exam hall, while the question number and exact wording are still fresh — not after you've seen ICAI's suggested answers weeks later, by which point the specific ambiguity is easy to misremember.
The September 2026 session isn't over. CA Foundation is being held on 2, 5, 7 and 9 September, and CA Intermediate on 1, 3, 6, 8, 10 and 12 September — so for several papers, the exam is still ahead of you. Don't wait until the whole session ends to write in about an earlier paper. Note the issue down the same day, and either send it immediately or keep a running note and submit everything together well before the 17 September cut-off.
